Part II (of II)

Here we are again to continue our conversation about those extra lbs that appeared last year and won’t go away. No worries – you are on a journey toward your ideal weight and, in the meantime, you still need to be comfortable and look confident for business (and, why not, personal too)!

As we are just kicking off 2025, this is the perfect time to think about implementing some solutions to kick off your journey back to your desired ‘happy place’, or find a new happy place – we’re here for either!! As I shared in the first part of this two-part series with the first three options, these wardrobe solutions aren’t for everyone. Rather they are for the individual who understands that your presence, virtual and IRL, counts and can be impactful to your business and personal relationships. At a minimum, how you look factors into how you feel and definitely into how you ‘show up’ to others.

Let’s get going with the remaining three solutions to consider as you move closer to your target weight. Remember, don’t wait for weight to be great!

  1. Prioritize stretch fabrics and blended materials: there are several high-quality fabrics that have stretch these days including ponte knit, stretch wool, and jersey blends. Yes – the stretch component changes what is available to you but you can still look pulled together and chic. The benefit of the materials with stretch are that they can accommodate as your weight fluctuates. NOTE: they should accommodate about one size difference only…not if you’re moving from a size 14 to size 10! Consider these pants, poplin stretch shirt, or stretch ponte pants.
